Robbery hits some businesses with Skokie – CBS Chicago


Chicago (CBS) — This week, some Skokie companies have shattered glass windows on the ground. Thursday morning after a robbery wakes up all night.

The Skokie police station said it had received reports of four crimes committed in the last two days by the same suspect.

At around 10:59 pm on Monday, August 16, police responded to Block 7800 on Lincoln Avenue seeking a report of the robbery to a car repair shop. Police said the suspect broke the window and invaded.

According to witnesses, the suspect was about 6 feet tall and weighed 185 pounds. With dyed red hair. He wore white trousers and a white T-shirt and went through the back of the building with some key fobs. The suspect “boarded a parked black Cadillac Escalade and escaped from the scene.”

Police said the vehicle was stolen from another incident in Lin Wood on Sunday, August 15. Around 11:00 on Monday night, 2021, a person matching the description shattered the front window of the smoke shop on Block 5300 on Lincoln Avenue. Authorities said he stole many e-cigarette items.
