Chicago (WLS)-Illinois has more than 132,000 black-owned businesses, and August is Black Business Month.

The state said the development of minority-owned businesses is essential to Illinois’ economic growth. However, in the last half of last year, it was extremely difficult for business owners to work long hours, lose sleep, and seek new ways to attract customers.

“What we’re talking about from business owners across the state is that they haven’t given up. They’re excited about the downfall relief efforts,” said CEO and CEO Siri Hibbler. Stated. Tasha Brown, director of Scale UP at the Women’s Business Development Center, said more and more people are adventuring on their own.
