ORLAND PARK, IL — An Orland Park native’s business has been listed in the 2021 Inc. 5000 of The Fastest Growing Companies in America. Printavo, a leading provider of online shop management software for screen printers, embroiderers, custom apparel manufacturers and more, has been recognized for the first time, ranking at 1,196 with a remarkable 404% revenue growth, according to a news release.

Based in downtown Chicago, Printavo was created in 2011 by founder Bruce Ackerman, of Orland Park, in a back room with a 4-color Riley Hopkins screen printing press on the campus of University of Illinois in Champaign, the release states. Struggling to understand where an order was or what they were supposed to do next, Bruce needed to find a simple solution to stay organized. That’s when Printavo was formed.

Today, the company employs 26 people and helps thousands of shops all over the world keep their workflow organized, so they can focus on growing their business, the release states.

“We are incredibly honored to receive this recognition, particularly in a very interesting and turbulent period in our world’s history,” Ackerman said. “Our team never stopped and only continued to work harder and smarter. We’re constantly coming up with new solutions and ways to help our customers succeed and grow. I’m incredibly proud of the team and humbled to receive this recognition.”

According to the release, Printavo has helped customers track 6M+ invoices, automate their workflow, and process $2.5B+ in payments. With their new e-commerce capabilities, customers were able to stay afloat during COVID creating fundraisers for small businesses raising over $1m+.

“The 2021 Inc. 5000 list feels like one of the most important rosters of companies ever compiled,” says Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc. “Building one of the fastest-growing companies in America in any year is a remarkable achievement. Building one in the crisis we’ve lived through is just plain amazing. This kind of accomplishment comes with hard work, smart pivots, great leadership, and the help of a whole lot of people.”
