Savant Wealth Management to acquire AMDG Financial, Business Advisory
ROCKFORD — Savant Wealth Management, a nationally recognized, fee-only wealth management firm headquartered in Rockford, announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire AMDG Financial and AMDG Business Advisory Services.
AMDG Financial is a fee-only RIA serving almost 300 clients, and AMDG Business Advisory Services is a tax and accounting firm.
Both businesses are located in Plymouth, Michigan. The acquisition will expand Savant’s national foot print and mark the firm’s formal entry into the Michigan market.
In 2019, Savant announced its approach to RIA acquisitions, assembling a team of seasoned mergers and acquisitions leaders to assist with its acquisition strategy and goal of improving 1 million lives in 25 years. This M&A approach, combined with a unique capital structure, has enabled Savant to sustain a competitive advantage in securing lasting partnerships with firms seeking an alternative to RIA aggregators and short-term roll-up firms backed by private equity.
Northern Illinois Hospice earns Gold Seal of Approval
ROCKFORD — Northern Illinois Hospice recently earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for Home Care Accreditation by demonstrating compliance with its performance standards.
The Gold Seal is a symbol of quality that reflects a health care organization’s commitment to providing safe and quality patient care.
Northern Illinois Hospice underwent a rigorous, unannounced onsite review in May. During the visit, a team of Joint Commission reviewers evaluated compliance with home care standards spanning several areas including emergency management, environment of care, infection prevention and medication management.
Rockford offers businesses new way to submit payments
ROCKFORD — The city of Rockford is new offering the new online Rockford Customer Self Service system for businesses to file and pay self-reported sales taxes.
CSS will automatically calculate the amount of tax due when sales are entered, accept payments and provide businesses with past filings and payment information. Online payments can be made by either credit card or eCheck. Payments made by credit card can be made with no additional fee; however, payments made by eCheck will incur an additional $1 convenience fee.
