New York, July 7 (Xinhua)-A strong European business lobby group advocated by some leaders following US leadership to limit commercial ties with China to European Union (EU) politicians As it does, it urged not to keep Chinese companies out. The Wall Street Journal recently reported.

Members of the European Round Table for Industry (ERT), an industry group consisting of about 60 CEOs and chairs of major European-based multinationals, tell EU leaders better with China. He promoted business conditions and called on him not to turn his back. Reported on Sunday.

“Many government and EU officials have been devoted to Washington in recent months. Like the United States, business leaders are afraid to call for separation from China,” the magazine said.

According to the report, the lobby group also warned Brussels to use the COVID-19 economic shock to strengthen European manufacturing and political autonomy in a way that would become a protected trade principle.

“I am clearly concerned that the concept of strategic autonomy can lead to protected trade principles very easily,” said ERT member Jacob Wallenberg. Wallenberg is chairman of the Swedish holding company Investor AB and vice chairman of telecommunications giant Ericsson AB.

Members of this group also include German automakers BMW AG and Daimler AG, energy giants Royal Dutch Shell PLC, France’s Total Energies SE and Italy’s EniSpA, and UK pharmaceutical companies Astra Zeneca PLC and Glaxo Smith Kline PLC. Many ERT members have significant businesses and investments in both the United States and China.
