Chicago Bears enter into agreement with BetRivers and Rivers Casino

It’s not a change on the roster, but the Chicago Bears are making a big move before the 2021 season even begin that could have implications on the future of Illinois online sports betting.

The Bears announced a multi-year partnership with Rush Street Interactive, the Chicago-based gaming company that operates BetRivers and Rivers Casino. The multi-year agreement will make BetRivers the Bears’ official sportsbook partner and Rivers Casino the Bears’ official casino partner.

The announcement comes less than a year after the Bears announced a partnership with PointsBet as the franchise’s first sports betting sponsor.

A relationship with a hometown company

“We are incredibly excited to announce BetRivers and Rivers Casino as our first multi-year exclusive partner in the Sportsbook and Casino categories,” said Bears President & CEO Ted Phillips, in a statement. “We look forward to connecting with our fans in fun and unique ways through these avenues and couldn’t be prouder to be building this relationship with a hometown company.”

BetRivers and Rivers Casino will receive a mix of prominent in-stadium signage along with digital, social and print assets.

The betting company will also be the title partner of the team’s customized Free to Play Game on the Chicago Bears app through Verizon. BetRivers.com players will also see collaborative promotions for exclusive Chicago Bears prizes and experiences.
